A CAGE code is the Commercial and Government Entity identifier assigned to a U.S. vendor so DoD systems can find the same company across contracting, shipping, and payment. Ours is 201W8, issued to Quick Brown Fox LLC and used on Quick Brown Fox Solutions quotes, packing lists, and certificates of conformance. The Unique Entity Identifier in SAM.gov is MA3DSJEPMFQ8. Federal buyers should treat the UEI as the cross-system key and the CAGE as the DLA/DCMA/marking key. Both appear in the footer of every page on this site.
Verify either identifier in SAM.gov Entity Information. The record returns the legal name, registration status, and expiration. Solicitations, shipping labels, and many prime onboarding forms still require a CAGE. A shop without one cannot be set up in a large number of DoD and prime systems even if the machining is excellent. Searching “CAGE code machine shop” is how a buyer confirms the vendor is already in that namespace. We keep the code current, we print it on every commercial document, and we use the same code for custom machining and for stock NSN sales.
CAGE does not by itself mean AS9100, ITAR, or a GSA schedule. Those are separate credentials, and we do not claim them. What CAGE 201W8 does mean is that a contracting officer can put us in the award file today, a DCMA specialist can find us, and a prime can load us into vendor master without a weeks-long identity chase.
